What we do - 1

Work with other churches We believe we are called to work together with other Churches and to bless them whenever we can. The main way we have put this into practice has been to run Alpha courses together with them. On one occasion we had people from 5 different churches involved in the same Alpha Course. This was a fantastic experience and God blessed it greatly. We are planning to take part in another course in the Autumn together with three other churches (Holy Redeemer, All Saints, Poppleton and Lidgett Grove methodist Church).

What we do - 2

work with children

From the very start of our life together we felt God calling us to focus particularly on children. Therefore our aim is for the church to feel like an extended family which belongs just as much to the children as the adults.

Also, our leadership structure is a little unusual. We believe the Bible teaches plural leadership. There is not so much prescriptive teaching in the Bible on how a church leadership should operate, but one thing that is very clear is that leadership should be plural. There should not be a single person in charge of a church. Therefore, at present we have 3 leaders rather than one, and out of those 3 no one person is "The Leader". Our aim as church leaders is to build a Church where every member is important and has a role.
